The Driving Standards Agency (DSA) has issued an update to their original posting regarding the new laden vehicle requirements for HGV training.
Originally, the government body confirmed that the new rules would officially take effect on the 30th September 2013. This date has now been shifted back to the 15th November 2013 and will apply to all practical training categories (C, C+E, C1+E, D+E and D1+E).
We are unsure why the DSA has decided to postpone the date but they have confirmed that the laden vehicle requirements will apply to the practical driving test, initial and periodic Driver CPC (although there is no compulsory requirement for a laden vehicle for periodic training only).
