By far the first question people ask when enquiring about HGV training is how much is this going to cost me?
Price should always be a concern but not the most important factor.
Using a training company that runs well maintained vehicles and employs qualified DSA Instructors should be the first question any wannabe HGV Driver asks. Having DSA instruction and a quality vehicle to drive are the key ingredients to getting the result you want 1st time.
The following prices are based on 5 day driving courses and given as a guide line only.
5 day HGV training course category C (£900 – £ 1,100). inclusive of test fee and Vat
5 day HGV training course category C+E (£925 – £1,150) inclusive of test fee and Vat
Location of the training centre in the UK can alter the cost of your HGV training course. Different regions will charge different prices.
For example: an HGV training course in The Highlands of Scotland may cost less than a course delivered in the Southern England. Most people however don’t want to travel more than 50 miles to complete their driver training complete training.
The duration of your HGV training will reflect the price you pay. Most HGV training companies tend to deliver courses that last 5 days. A guide to 5 day training prices is above. Should you decide however to have an assessment drive first then any reputable training company would gladly oblige
One thing is for sure, going direct to a local HGV Training Provider will save time and money. Using a third party (Broker or Middleman) can mean paying more for your training. Why use a 3rd party when it’s quicker and easier to go direct?
